The problem I have is that most stocks are short. I looked at this gun

Because of it being a youth gun, would it not goes as far or would it be exactly the same as a regular 7mm-08?

for a youth gun, try the remmington .25-06. same stock as the rest of the models and it's an excellent shooter.

Caliber is caliber, being a youth rifle has nothing to with how the load will perform. Unless it has an unusually short barrel.

A youth model is simply a rifle with a shorter length of pull and maybe less weight so the rifle is easier to handle for a smaller person. If the youth model guns feel short to you, get a full sized rifle. Age has nothing to do with it. I am almost 40 and like youth model guns because I am short. They just fit me better. But I know 14 year olds that are too big to shoot a youth model.

The performance should be exactly the same, it just effects how the gun feels when shouldered.
