Scope Question Plz Read!

Hi, Hope everyone is doing good tonight. Umm I got a question about the movement of the crosshairs in a scope. Yall probley think Im dumb when you hear it but me and my dad have been dissagreing about weather a Scope that moves 1/4 at 100yrds moves an 1/8 or 1/2 at 50yrds I say an 1/8 but he says 1/2. I think I'm right but I could be wrong?

1/8 is correct! You figure it's moving less the closer the target is. If it was a 1/2 at fifty it would be way off at 100yards, like an inch! Don't ragg on him to hard:D!

Half the distance, half the linear movement, you are correct. It will move a half inch at 200 yards I think.
