How hard to get Mule Deer tags....
 

My life long dream is to go elk and mule deer hunting....there are areas in CO that elk tags are over the counter...possibly someday, but most mule deer tags are lottery. How hard is it to get drawn..if you get drawn...is it once in a lifetime? Is hunting muly's like hunting whitetail?? People say they aren't as smart...I don't know what they mean there....I won't say any animal is not smart...

I wouldn't say that they aren't as smart either. They are just different. A mulie can hear as well as a whitetail can smell. The noises you can get away with whitetail hunting will scare a mulie away pronto in my experience. I can't answer the lottery thing. When I lived in CO, antlered mule and antlered elk tags were over the counter sales and doe / cow tags were lottery.
