i think the ones that youre addressing in this post probably dont have a computer and if they do they can't read very well, you know the type, lol.......i used have a bad taste in my mouth for all dog hunters, the one time a dog was healthy but what got me was the dog was stabbed in the heart by a hog, the guys let that dog lie there crying while they cleaned the hog, the dog was dead before they got done, they threw it in the gut pile, the next morning i went to cover the guts and there he was, buzzards on him, you talk about getting sick, not the smell, the view i saw was the most horrible thing and then to find out about the hog cleaning...make a long story short, i began to hunt with the guys that have dogs, most are loving folks , but you have some that just think of them as a tool...those are the ones i'd like to see in the gut pile instead of that poor dog.

I don't run deer with dogs but catch lots of hogs with mine and I have a couple of points to make. Has anyone ever seen those folks that run marathons? They all look like skin and bones. Do you think they are eating? My guess is that they are eating whatever they want. If you are going to hit the woods and run for hours you better not be fat. And number two being fat is a hell of a lot worse on a dog then being skinnny. Don't get me wrong I do feed and care for my dogs but most folks would probably like them fatter then I keep them.

Amen. Although I'm sure there are plenty of good "dog hunters" out there. My run-ins have been nothing but poor. Radio collar or not.

this has nothing to do with deer hunting[&:]

If you are a dog hunter that is currently giving your animal just enough food to get by, please give them some food. I would not wish true hunger on anybody or anything. I saw a deer dog today that looked terrible. Really sad.
