any info on what i can expect would we greatly appreciated.......??.........whats the lay of the land like?? what part of pike county is the best for big bucks??

I hunted in Pleasant Hill IL Nov.5-15 and did not see a shooter all week. Had many 130 class deer come by, but not what I was looking for.I ended up taking two does the last afternoon. I have hunted therefor the last 11 years becauseI have a friend who lives there and has 112 acresof ground. He called me today a said it is very cold right now(wind chill of 8 degrees). I have hunt IL this time of year in the past and if you can find a good food source you will see plenty of deer. What town are you headed to, I may be able to tell you the lay of the land( flat, rolling hills,etc.)

I shot two deer today in Pike. I saw plenty of shooters but not within range so I got two big does.
