freezer is full

My freezer is full mainly just beef. I am the only one in my family that eats vension. Do you still hunt once the freezer is full and still have tags let. I still have 2 more tags left. I would like to still hunt thats alot of meet for me to eat on my own.

I make alot of jerky with venison which can be made immediately and has a pretty long shelf life (especially if vacuum sealed).

I give away almost all of the deer I shoot, but it is used by someone, usually my daughter, son-in-law and grandkids.

Illinois DNR has a program Sportsmen Against Hunger. They enroll meat lockers who process deer. The hunter can take the deer to that meat locker, they process it and donate the venison to homeless shelters and breadlines. I'm sure other states have similar programs.

2 more hours and there will be 6 cans of deer meatready to cool off and put away for special events!
