yeah, congrats!!
tell your son not to worry about it.....his first couple years could be like mine.....Opening morning my first year ever, about 15 minutes after shooting light, two yearlings come under my stand.....i mean right under....like withing probably 2-3 yards...and a BIG doe stood up in the clearing, about 70 yards away....Anyways, i let the two yearlings walk and decided that I wanted a buck for my first time, so I let the doe go too.....well, i didnt see a deer the rest of that year while hunting, not a one.....and to make it worse, i didnt see one the whole next year either...It was a total bummer. Tell him not to worry about it, i think ive missed twice, and both times I got the same Buck i missed that same day.
