Default shot a biscuit today

First deer taken with a rifle. Does anybody have any good tips on sizing does up. This was a loner so I couldn't compare it to another one. I was pretty disappointed. The thought of dragging it in some cutover and leaving it did cross my mine but, only for a couple seconds. I did the right thing but I felt a little bad today. Oh well. It was my first time cleaning a deer by myself too. I guess I can say I got a lot out of todays hunt.

If you shot it legal then enjoy it.
Biscuits go good with beans and potatos

at my house a biscuit's size is wrote on the can. My old dog is named biscuit also. I think the best way to size up a doe is about the same way you would size up a ole'dog and thats by the swayed belly and the ears. Young deer have a short nose, most have ears that look big but thats just because their head is so small, but if she's got big ears a swayed belly and keeps her head up most of the time she is a mature deer. Or has justbeen shot at a bunch and knows to keep low to the ground.

Hey, ain't nothing wrong with a biscuit. Just pour a little gravy over that sucker and enjoy. As long as it was legal you shouldn't feel bad. Congrats on a fine first time gun harvest.
