I respect your choice not to shoot beyond 100 yards. I was pointing out that in some cases, it is not practical. Setting your limits short is certainly better than streching your limits.

RE: Best long range deer caliber

So what if ya have a 7mm.....You have now clue how it yours shoots past 100yrds in the field......
On the contrary, when sighting in my rifle and checking before each and every season, I shoot from 50, 100, 200 and 300 yards, so I do have some clue of how my 7mm shoots on paper. Just because I'll shoot at a paper target 300 yards away, doesn't in any way mean that i will attempt that on a living, breathing animal. Besides, I seem to be doing quite well with my 100 yard limit. I've already killed the biggest deer this year, out of all the ones I have shot. 200, 300, 1000 yards that you can shoot, makes no difference to me. Until I stop seeing deer from 100 yards in, I will keep things the way they are. And on a side note, to tell you the truth, I've never in my life seen a deer 200 or 300 yards away. But you may be hunting in flat land somewhere, I am in TN. Plus I always put my stand right in the perfect honey hole. So good luck with your sniper ability, I couldn't really care. If that’s what you need to do to kill a deer then good for you, I just hope that you don't wound him and he runs off and dies or worse, suffers the rest of its life. I've seen too many deer like that from ppl like you that insist on taking those long range shots. maybe your good enough to take them consistently. Its still too risky for me to want to try.

But make a note, I'll assure you that if I am in dyer need of meat, my family is dieing and I've been snowed in, there is a epidemic of hunger going around and the closest deer I see is 500 yards away, I'll make sure my MOAs are lined up, I'll make sure that my POA and Windage/Elevation are correct and then I'll attempt to kill him.

But being the good natured fellow I am:D

I willing to hand you either a X-LAX to help you with that CONSTIPATION or hand feed yoy an IMODIUM to cure those RUNS......

You said "I don't dare feel comfortable shooting animals out past 100yrds.."
"If I can't call them in to a safe distance to shoot where I don't need a rest...Then I'm not shooting...."
BUT NOW THERE IS AN IF......:D

In none of you posts did you DARE MENTION practicingat shooting
paper targets out to 300 yrds until just now..

YOUR FATHER IN LAW has a ballistics book....and that the 7mm has the best ballistics out to the 500 yrd range.
Again you say the 7mm is the most accurate long range gun the Ballistic BOOK proves it.....
There is NO mention of practicing shooting your gun past 100yrds.....

"I STAND BY MY WORD I WILL NOT TAKE A SHOT PAST 100yrds"
AGAIN......NOW THERE IS AN IF.....:D

I CALL IT MORAL TOWARDS ANIMALS, NOBEL,HIGH MINDED,,ELEVATED,
PROPER,ETHICAL,RIGHTEOUS,and/or PRINCIPLED.......
AGAIN......AN IF......:D

SO WHICH DO YOU NEED utmstdent....THE IMODIUM OR THE X-LAX..

HUH? Dear God help me.

In none of you posts
What?

There is NO mention of practicing shooting your gun past 100yrds.....
I don't have to mention anything about it. I don't tell people everything online that I do in life.

SO WHICH DO YOU NEED utmstdent....THE IMODIUM OR THE X-LAX..
Well, I think I am going to need something strong for a headache, you type like a retarded 3rd grader. Learn to complete sentences, spell, punctuate and then you can set at the grown up table and talk grown up talk. Its utmstudent, not utmstdent.

You made positively, absolutely no sense in your whole response. Nothing educational about the subject I am talking about was mentioned, just immature comments that a 3rd grader could have came up with. How about that imodium you have?

Hey, I'll tell you what sniper, good luck with that 247 pound man you "dreamt" about. Good luck shooting .000000000001 inch groups at 5,000 yards. Because, and pay attention because this is the real kicker, I COULD CARE LESS, as I've said many times over. I shoot at a comfortable range, I am happy with that, I have killed my limit in bucks the past 5 years by doing this, I've never missed, I've never wounded a deer, I've never screwed up someone else's hunt. Like I said above, I've never seen a deer out 200 yards before. Like I said above, maybe its just the place I am hunting, maybe I put my stand in a good spot. Maybe I value animal life more than you, maybe I am not some marksman/sniper/dude like you. Shoot the tick off the **** wagon at 8798697685 yards, like I really care. I'm killing what I need at 100 yards or less and that’s getting the job done. Why change?

BTW, as careless as you are about your grammar problem, how can you kill a deer at 300 yards? Are you that careless with shooting deer? I hope not. GOOD LUCK SNIPER

Do you know how ridiculas you two are?

if I am in dyer need of meat
Someone that is so concerned about other peoples grammar and spelling should see the errors in both quotes.
