Deer that like to sleep in?

This might sound weird but I have noticed that the deer in my area like to sleep in. This weekend was a bust for me with having to work a charity eventy all day yesterday and late into the night. So I was only able to get out Friday morning for gun season and I saw nothing.

Well today late in the day to late for me to take a shot I noticed some 3 does in my stand area but there has been nothing in the morning. When ever I see deer in my backarea it is after 1pm. We never see them right away in the morning. I am just wondering is this normal or am I missing something about deer?

I do see that I need to work on my stand a little over this next weekend though for some better shots.

Like Natalie said, deer are nocturnal. You mean to say they are going to bed early if you are not seeing them in the morning.
