Hornady SST for deer?

I have a .30-06 and am looking for some good bullets this year. I don't really know that much about the SST's by Hornady. What can you guys tell me about your experience with it, and would it be too much bullet for a deer?

Roughly the equivalent of the Nosler Ballistic Tip. No it's not too much for deer.

From my brother's experience - the SST will kill anything you shoot it at within reason of course - he has shot 5 deer with them now out of a .25-06 and 4 of 5 deer dropped in their tracks - the 5th went 40 yards and the lungs were gelatinous blobs. Maybe it Excellent deer cartridge.

Im using 165 grain sst's in my 30-06 this year, but i have yet to take a deer with it. They were shooting really well so I gave them a try. They should be excellent for deer.

I use them in my muzzeloader. I shoot the 250 SST's with 120 grains of powder. Haven't used them for center fire, but I know that the SST in my muzzeloader works great.
