Rattlesnakes are out and about
 

My father had killed about 1 a week for the last 3 weeks. We ran into this one out at the lease last Saturday while cutting lanes. About 4ft. See link below. Digital pics didn't come out too good.

I'm about 40 miles north of Austin. We have seen alot more this year for some reason. Some decent size ones as well. a couple of 4ft'ers and anther that was a little of 5 ft.

I hunt SE of Gatesville and luckily haven't seen any this year yet. Nothing like a little suprise when you're walking in to hunt.

Killed another one last night about a mile after leaving the lease. Got it with the tire on the truck. Another 4fter. I am really going to be walking careful this weekend, that's two in less than a week.
