Yep. . .don't over cook. . . .nothing better than a backstrap steak nice and pink in the middle. Just like any meat you cook, it gets tough if you cook to much.

I've known people over the years, give 2-3 year old freezer burn meat to try for the first time, and they hate it. NO WONDER THEY HATE IT! Cooked right and fresh is best. If you don't eat deer, give it another try. TRY IT! YOU'LL LIKE IT!
