11 yr. old gets first deer
 

My 11 year old son got his first deer this evening! I let him stay out of school today to hunt with me and this morning a spike came into our food plot, my son passed on him saying he wanted his first deer to be a good buck. this evening just before dark a 7-pointer came into the food plot my son used patience and let him close to within 30 yards waited for a clear broardside shot and dropped him with his single shot .243. This is better than any of the deer I've taken. this is the 3rd year he has been going to the stand with me and it really makes me proud that he has been listening and paying attention. He took this buck with very little couching from me, and his hands didn't shake till after the deer went down. T he deer even passed by my trail cam so We have "before and after pictures". I am sure a PROUD PAPPA!!

Congrats! He'll remember that deer forever. I'm only 22 but I still remember my first buck plain as day.
