Help with ground blind
 

I just built a ground blind from hemlock and it isbig enough for 2 people to hunt in a possibly sleep in but i was wandering if it would scare the deer away. I plan on putting a camo tarp over it but where i am putting it deer will see it. The deer have a trail coming down off a ridge and into a field and i have the blind on the other side of the field on a knoll which is about 40 or 50 yards away. I know the deer will notice it and know it wasnt there but will they stop using their trail because of it or will they get used to it eventually. plz help

when do you plan on putting it out? and when do you plan on hunting?
it will spook them at first,
but as the other posted stated they will get used to it,
i usually position my stands/blinds during the spring/summer for fall season,
placing a blind in mid november would be too late for me,

k thnks, ishould probly wait till after hunting season to put it out if i plan on hunting this year right?

I AGREE WIT STEVE. don't over hunt it though due to scent and if a deer sees u and gets spooked and bolts i would give it a little time to cool down. its then u think ok they won't come this way soooo what would i do to get from point a to b so tospeak. good luck and hunt safe bro.

I've gun hunted from a ground blind every year, and it's necessary if you're going to put it out..to make it stationary. Every year, I throw up some netting, and I'm set up on a trail. 50% of the deer see me because they travel the trail regularily. Just make sure you get it out there, and let them get used to it!
