I got a 15 pt buck first day!
 

checkout my website and go to photo gallery and then "king of the farm". He was so unusual! I scouted for 3 month while bow hunting and never seen him!

My boyfriend and I were down in the hollow for 4 hours and saw other hunters tresspassing, so we left....we were walking back to the farm and saw a deer by the pond...I thought it was a doe until I looked in the scope...I shot at him with a 243 at 300 yards...missed. He was so into a hot doe..I got in at 200 yards and shoulder shot him...he laid by the pond still alive...I got up 50 yards and shot him in the neck, rolling him....he was 15 points, my taxidermist is counting his score...he will make Missouri big bucks, but is pushing for Boone & Crocket...how does that work? They have to be 160 to go in BC?

I love my boyfriend for letting me shoot him! No other guy would let their girlfriend shoot at one that big!

I don't know of a boyfriend that would, but my husband would... isn't it great? We have a nice 10 pointer on our property and my hubby said if it walks by him close to end of season he will shoot it, but he said he would rather me get it... in fact, he didn't even buy a license for season opener here because he just wanted to sit with me so I could get him. He rattled and called for me too, it just wasn't the right weather for it (20-40mph winds), so we hardly even saw any deer. :(

B&C is 160 to get an "award" and 170 to make all time books. I don't think the rack is that big, but pictures can be deceiving.

A lot of his tines are broken off, the guards are really small because he broke them...my taxidermist said possibly scored 150+, he had a deer in his place 170 B&C and themy deer is notthat smaller...the base is smaller and tine guardsare broken...the antlersare very heavy and thick...sorry to brag...its just my first BIG buck. The bucks in Southwest Missouri are not really big, so he is a oncein alifetime buck for around here...at least that is what everyone else says. I'm hoping to go up North next year where the bigger ones are.

I love my boyfriend...lol. He told me that I deserve it because I am more committed. I scouted for 3 months while bowhunting to find what the patterns are....funny thing is...I didn't even see this buck during bow season...I saw a nice size 8 pointer and thats about it...My taxidermist says 157 BC, I am having a certified measurer come in May when it's done. I know for a fact it will make Missouri Big Bucks...one question....what do you guys think he is....typical or non-typical...he looks likea typical but he has one tine off to the side.
