Anyone Planning on Using Federal Fusion Bullets on Deer This year?
I Have Been Shooting Them at The Range, My 270 Seems To LIke The 130 Grain Bullets.

The 130 grain .270 bullets shot rather accurately out of my rifle, and they worked great on a 175-200 pound deer. Through and through, with great expansion at about 110 yards.

Used them this year. Took two deer, one at 30 yards and one at 220 yards with 300 wsm 165gr Fusion ammo. The one at 30 yards was shot through neck and dropped in it's tracks - little difference between entry and exit points of bullet, the one at220 yards ran about 40 yards, double lung shot - only damage was to lungs, heart and everything else were still intact - exit wound might have been the size of a quarter.I've found the ammunition to be as accurate as the 150gr. BST's I was using.

i used the 165 gr in my 300 wsm and took 3 deer with it none went more than 4o yards and the accuracy was really good when i sighted it in at 100 yards closest one shot was about 75 yards longest was just over 250.

my buddy also shot fusions this year in his 30-06 and had 2 kills in the same evening with one shot each the first one was 278 yards second was326 yards. I cant see any problems with them and the deer couldnt tell the difference either

I to used them this year, well not in the field. I ordered 2 boxes from bass pro and was at the range twice trying to get my rifle sighted in. They flew descent but my cheap winchester super x flew just as good if not better. I eventually just went back to my winchester because as long as it kills the deer what difference does it make. I was shooting 30.06 in a 150 grain package. Shot 2 deer this year one at 13 yards she fell got up just to fall over within 10 yards i think i hit her a liile farther back. nice big exit wound. Also shot a 9 pointer at 100 yards he went about 30 yards and talk about exit wound it had to be the size of a baseball. My conclusion on this ammo is I couldn't see that big of a difference in performance when compared to my 10.00 a box winchester.

What kind of bullet are they supposed to be - what current bullets are they "like" in terms of performance.
