Strange deer

A friend of mine shot a doe yesterday that had one horn. It was a small 2 point with some velvet on it. Anyone ever see this? It was a whitetail.

Nope, thats odd ..a doe with horns. Do you think it could be some kind of growth defect? Ive heard somewhere that 1 in 10,000 does will have some kind of antler growth. Cant explain it tho[:o]

It just had one horn. I don't recall ever seeing it before.

Happens more then you think,every year some are shot.Here Near me a guy 2 years ago got a 7 pt doe

Thats what I wondered. How unusual this was. Strange things happen in nature for sure.

I have heard about it a few times and read about it, but I have never seen it at my huntclub. About 10 years ago the club right next to ours killed one and it had a 8 point rack that was about 11 inches.
