What do you think about Model 70 WSM?

As some of you already know, I'm in the market for a new rifle and I checked out a Win Model 70 .270 WSM yesterday. It seemed like a pretty sweet gun. The WSM series comes in .270, 7mm, and .300. I guess the .270 would be the best choice for whitetail. What do you guys think about the WSM?

Exellenent choice except I would go with 7mm, better selection of bullets. The .270 and 7mm are so close in caliber (.277 vs .284) that it makes sense to me to go with the one with better bullet selection.

With the 7mm, you can shoot deer with bullets in 130-160 grain range and still go higher if you go after bigger game.

Hunting is a right, treat it like a priviledge - respect nature

I think some of them will be a flash in the pan.

Truthfully ,I wouldn't even consider one I already have guns that will kill anything I hunt and farther out than I want to shoot at them. I just don't buy in to all the hype in the hunting magazines .
