taning hide's ?
I have taned 2 deer's and they came out great .But this spring i got a coyote and taned it .It was a warm day and i keeped the skin in a cooler for 1 day .I just took the second salt of and scraped the hide and one spot on the tail the hair is comeing off . and idea's on why or best way too try and keep the hair from falling out ? and i used salt that didn't have iodon in it .

You'll get more reponses in the taxidermy forum, but I'll let you know what I see. Some coyoteswill tan up just fine even if left laying around, others will slip fairly quickly. For that reason, they need to be skinned and frozen or salted immediately. Keeping it in a cooler for a day is almost certainly what caused the problem. I assume that you had ice in the cooler, which melts, and then you have water. Water is a breeding ground for bacteria, which causes slippage.
