Got one (finally)
it only took 30 days but i finally bagged a buck. he walked up on me about 25 yards to my left. he looked at me so i had to close my eyes for a few seconds. when i opened them he was walking away at a pretty good clip so i drew back and took a deep breath and put my 40 yard pin on him. it hit him just in front of his rear quarter and he ran about 50 yards before dropping. nice blood trail for about 25 yards but then it petered out. i kept walking in the general direction for about 25 more yards and found him in a ravine. the wound looked like it was a gut shot which would have been really nasty but there was no scat or urine spilled when i unzipped him. 6 points at about 140lbs. persistance my friends,.......pays off.
