North American Big Game list
I was reading the other day that there has only been 5 people to hunt and kill all the North American large game. Does anyone know where I can get a list of all the large game??

RE: North American Big Game list
1. whitetail deer
2. see #1 haha j/k, I'd be interested in seeing it too |
RE: North American Big Game list
I would assume it would also include:
elk moose antelope mule deer mountain lion black bear grizzly bear I'm sure I am missing some |
RE: North American Big Game list
Add the sheep and goats of which there are many species and su species. In many states the Turkey is considered a big game hunt. Also the Musk Ox and Bison. There are some different species of deer like the Black tail. It depends on how specific they want to get.

Number sounds extremely low. I'd like to know what the list includes also.Doesthe breakdown all the sub-species of elk, deer and moose and other game animals? I'm sure you could add: Caribou, Yak, Blacktail Deer, and maybe Bigfoot?

RE: North American Big Game list
lol I knew it was a number in the upper 20s, not just a couple or 10 or so. Now you can see why so few have done it. If you just hunted (and took!) one species each season it would take nearly 3 decades and conservatively cost a quarter of a million dollars to do it (with a REAL total expenditure of appx $10k per animal. I'm talkin airfare, meals, tips ALL of it, not just the hunts themselves.) But in reality it will cost over $1,000,000.00 when you get into some of the sheep hunts they alone can run into the 6 figure ranges. Try getting a "budget" desert bighorn sheep tag!!!
I can see myself doing a few grandslams in my life like on turkeys, elk, deer etc but the whole thing? Not and stay married and tend too my kids needs!!! :D RA |
