At 50 yards dead on - at 100 yards between 1 - 2 inchs high.
Then at 200 yards dead on again.
I haven't seen the ballisits I can't even spell it LoL

Unfortunately the only accurateway to determinewhere the point of impact will be,is to actually shoot at 100 yards and 200 yards. You can calculate the point of impact if you have the exact velocity out of your gun and more importantly the exact height of the crosshairs of the scope above the center of the bore, but this method can still be in error to some degree.

Stubble is right on. You have to fire the gun at the ranges you plan to shoot. I have seen many people sight in at 25 yards and are under the impression that they will be on at 100. It ain't so. I can fire my 270 at 25 yards and be right on but at 100 yards, its seven inches high. Many deer are missed or wounded because hunters don't know where their rifle will hit at different ranges. You have a fair amount of le-way if you sight in at 100 but in my opinion, thats as close as I would try it before hunting.

Reminds me of a story that happened to me once. I was at a range, and I had a new rifle--a .270 also. I took it to the 50 yard range, and fired a few times, and noticed there were 3 less than intelligent looking fellars standing behind me with their arms crossed , looking disgusted. Finally one said out loud--He must not be planning on killing no big deer, only shootin' at 50 yards--and walked off shaking his head!Doh!

i think it'll be safe to say shoot it at 100yds. and see.my 270 with 150 core locks at 25yds is 2in. low,and at 100 yds its 1inch high,200 dead on. different guns and different bullets will be different.good luck
