quit huntin them little deer DD, oh yea if you kill any crows save me some, looks like my boys need to convert one of them cornfed cheerleaders into a kicker[:@], talk about stinking up the whole neighborhood[:'(], BTWi've been seeing a pretty nice 10pt 18-20", i told my wife in a year or two he'd be a nice'en, only thing is he want make it that long[&o], cause i'm sure i aint the only one seein him[:@]
MT AS I AM SURE YOU KNOW THAT IS ONE OF THE REASONS THE BUCKS HERE IN THE SOUTH DO NOT GET A CHANCE TO BECOME MATURE IS BECAUSE THE PARCELS OF LAND WE HUNT ARE GENERALLY 100 TO 200 ACRES .... AND IF YOU LET HIM WALK THE GUY ON THE NEXT FARM WILL POP HIM ... WHICH BRINGS ME TO THIS QUESTION ...WHEN YOU GOING TO TAKE OL'E DOC HUNTING WITH YOU ;>)) ..... AS FOR "YOUR BOYS" LSU DROPPED 2 PASSES IN THE END ZONE ...

RE: ONE BIG BUCK OR SEVERAL SMALL ONES?

Here in Wisconsin, we can shoot 1 buck with our Bow tag, and 1 buck with our Gun tage.

Bow hunting is from Mid Sept to the end of the year

Gun season is only 9 days (the week of Thanksgiving)

HOWEVER, we do have the ability to purchase antleress deer tags.

I prefer this way....if I could shoot a buck every day, I think the fun would wear off.

I would choose to hunt where the deer are plentiful. You can always impose management strategy to help get bigger deer.

I'd rather hunt where you could take several deer a season. I like deer hunting as a whole and I hunt all seasons. Gun or bow, buck or doe.....just hunt.

Id rather see more "small bucks" than 1 biggun a season....cuz where there's small, there's big!

I shoot deer to eat, hard to eat the horns.A bunch is better than one.

definately the area where you can shoot more deer. fill the freezer, gain the experience and memories. i dont need a big rack on the wall to prove anything. meat tastes alot better than antlers.

I dont really know what a 130 class deer looks like, I never bothered learning how to score a buck, but i bet they are bigger than the deer i shoot anyway.

I am not normally a "poster" but these questions & opinions came to mind
Deer a day would be quite the program but....
How many deer can one eat?
How many families do you know that really need the meat?
Would taking that many deer remove the challenge?

For me I will always find the persuit of a 170 class whitetail, 200 lbs plus and being a older deer lets say 8 or older a much larger accomplishment
However I understand any deer is an accomplishment!

Given the choice I would take more deer.

Where I am I get the worst of both worlds, 1 tag (lottery system to see if we're allowed to take a doe), and the big bucks are far and few between (my 130 is the biggest deer taken out of our camp in5 yrs).
We can buy additional tags for a few areas but they are archery only. Granted, I could use my one tag in Dryden where the monsters are, but thats a 20 hour drive (Ontario is a really big place!).
Our rifle season is approaching but I have no tag (took a small buck archery early season), thank god we are allowed to party hunt.
