Congrats on the bear! I wish I could see one just walk by. I have no clue how to hunt a bear. I dont think baiting is allowed here and it seems impossible for one to merely stroll by like yours did.

Yep , they're here. Not too many though--the estimated population is 1200 in the north, and 800 in the south. I need to buy a lottery ticket, cause the odds are slim. This is my second in the last 3 seasons.

Theres a Ban on Black Bear in FL., butwe have so many
that they get hit by cars on Hwy 19 all the time. I shot
this one in Canada in 1995 with a Win. .30-30 @ under
100yds.
