first deer i ever got. got it at 3 on thursday. we had gone out in the morning and didnt see anything. so we came back in to eat lunch. we headed back out at like 230. i was just getting up to head for another spot when this spike comes walkin threw this THICK woods and grape vines. so i finally get a shot on him while he was walking at 80 yds. i shot him standing. i was really amazed i dropped him. one 180 grain corelokt from a 300 win mag really messed him up. im not goin to shoot a deer with that again because i lost a good bit of meat and i felt like i didnt get all i could from the deer. anywayz i was real excited.

o btw this was a junior anterless season and it was a spike with antlers less than 3 in so i was still legal with all this
