Why didn't you thump one? I buy turkey tags for just that occasion! And, every since I've bought an archery turkey tag, I've never had one in range...go figure! (I think they have a 6th sense)

Same thing happens to me along with having squirrels sit on stand with me at times. Of course when i'm looking for turkeys or squirrels all I see is deer out in the fields.[:@]

well its better than not seeing anything. I started to bring my camera with me alot. I be taking pictures of all kinds of things. It still pretty cool seeing alot of different wildlife as long as a deer comes by sooner or later. I can't hunt for turkeys in Ga. during deer season...only spring time hunt... nice picture thou

He didn't "thump" one because we don't have a fall season in eastern NC...

I know how you feel....but at least you got to go...I went last week to Gates County....we killed 12....Hated to come back to work on Monday...
