Turkey\Deer

Ok earlier this season I sat up a feeder in a spot I thought was pretty good for deer. Well now I don't know if the deer are even coming to it because there are about 25 turkey that sit around and wait on it to go off and when it does they just tear it up. So should I sat another feeder up in a different location or do you think the deer are still visiting it?

Deer and turkey have learned to share the habitat that they are living in. Im 100% sure that the deer are hitting the feeder but probably not untill the turkeys have roosted in the evening and just before they come out in the morning.

Sounds to me like the turkey got your timer figured out, try changing the feed timed dramatically, like 3 - 5 hours differant.......or.....get some turkey tags:)

I've seen many videos where deer and turkeys tend to just "unotice" eachother. They know what's going on, and if they're both hungry, they'll find a time to eat!

RE: Turkey\Deer

I had always seen videos of deer and turkey feeding together and never personally witnessed it until last year...so I know it's true! Like one of the previous posts said, I bet the deer are waiting for the turkeys to quit eating and roost and then the deer will come in and gobble up the rest.
