HuntingNet.com Forums - I'm Baaaack Again!

Hello all! Its great to be back at home and back on the boards again! Its been a rough month! First, my daughter was in the hospital, then we had to evacuate because of Rita! We went to my inlaws in Bossier City, La., and then to my oldest daughters home in Tulsa. I came back two days after the storm, only to get turned around, after 200 miles because they were not letting anyone into the county! When we did get back, we were without electricity for about ten days. We had lots of cleaning up to do, but we were really blessed! All we had was roof damage, and lost a couple freezers of food. My computer was left in Bossier until yesterday, so I was "cut off from society!"
On top of all this we almost lost our "kid," Bailey, the choco-lab! She had emergency surgery to remove her spleen! She is doing good now, and is going back to the vet today. Hopefully we'll get a good report!
Naturally, I did not get to put up my deer stands in all of this, so I'll have to hurry up my scouting, if I get to hunt at all! (This was one of the fewtimes of my life that deer hunting was not very important to me at all!)
Anyway, I'll be going back to work tonight, for the first time since the storm! Again, we were very blessed, we still have a home and a job, and I might even get a little hunting in too! It's great to be back again!
