As far as scents go what I do it wash my clothes with Scent Killer clothes wash then hang dry them outside, once dry i spray them with scent shield, let them dry again, pack them in non scented garbage bags with some pine bows, when I go hunt I unpack and get dressed, I again spray with scent shield and use a scent shield natural earth wafer, on the way to the stand I drag a scent pad with interdigital scent reapplying every 30 yards or so, in the early part of the season I don't really put out any scent around my stand but once the rut kicks in I use Tink's #69, it's still to early for that I think, I might but out some doe urine or some other scent's in the pre rut and post rut mostly for expieramental reason's. I've shot quit a few deer in my life and I don't think anyone of them that I can remember was drawn in by scent, on the other hand I don't think it scares them away either, the biggest factor I think is for you to be scent free.
