Default Need advice on spot light/feeder illumination

I am interested in setting up a spotlight from my camper, to light up an area appx 125 yds away (a feeder). Currently, I can pull out my 400,000 candle power 12 volt spot light and it works fine, but i want to mount something more permanent and preferrably to run off my 110 outlet vs. a battery. I am finding few choices, so if you have any suggestions on a light that will do what i need, i would appreciate.

One possibility is to purchase the halogen off road spot lights which can be permanently mounted (usually on a bumper of a vehicle), but the only problem is, this gets back to 12 volts. A suggestion was made that i could use this setup and make connections to a battery charger, which will take 110 and convert it to 12 volt for purposes of running this type of light. I would prefer a 110 spot light made for this, but as you probably realized, 125 yds is a long distance to project light.

any ideas? any problems with the battery charger idea?

by the way, this is for family viewing from my camper, not hunting.

OK. . .a feeder light? http://feederlight.texasboars.com/

You don't need a spot light you need a few LED to light up right at your feeder to seewho's home?? We use them to shoot pigs at night.

I am glad you clarified that.

How about a regular work light hooked up to a 12 volt?

interesting web site w/ the solar. actually, the thread was getting long enough so i stopped writing, but originally, i thought the solar route was the way to go. I found a light with 23 led bulbs and a 6 volt rechargeable. It came with a high quality solar panel (5watts) and cost $170. It has proved disappointing. The light runs much less than advertised (about 3-4 hours vs. 8) and is very marginal at lighting up the area. If the feeder was 50 yds, it would be great, but at 125, it's way too dull.

still looking for suggestions, thx

Buy one of them Aluminum clamp on shades and install
a 150 watt DC light bulb in it! Splice the wire with one
as long as you might need and install alligator clips to
the other end!
