how to decide where to aim the trail-cam ?
Ok so after spending 4 hours in the woods behind my house trying to locate tracks i finally found a rub somewhere crossing a trail , after closely inspecting the area i found a few more rubs and some tracks leading 2 ways , into some heay brush i can't get thru and into a pine small pine field whereas the other trail is going to the end of the grass patch behind my house.
i situated teh camera to shoot diagonal thru the trail. what would be the best aiming point ?

I would be aiming the camera right at the intersection of those two trails you have mapped out..if I am reading your diagram correctly. Between 3 and 4 feet off the ground and basically aiming down one of the trails.

Just don't aim the camera directly into the east and west direction of the sun. You will probably have better luck when you are able to find a scrape in the area. He may not come back to the rub, but you might catch him in the trail.
