the winters here are by far not as cold as they are up north...it doesn't get into the 30's very often and if it does it's not for very long... snow here doesn't last longer then 2 days either..

I was also thinking the same thing. If that pic was taken in GA, then I don't think the winter would have any deciding factor if that fawn lived or died.
If we have 6'' of snow a year, that is a lot. There is always food avalible. I live in SC, but GA is the same, but even less snow.
