Can you learn to play the piano in a few days?
There are so many things to learn about hunting,
that buy asking a few questions on here is just
alittle off the top.
Have you been thru the Hunter Coarse yet? Age makes
no difference.

yeah very true. that course is very helpful as long as you have good instructors.

I have learned a few things all ready in my first year. You will learn a lot by just getting out in the feild even if you do not get a single thing. What are you wondering about? I have asked so many questions I bet you will find a lot with a search.

RE: Help

There are books aplenty out there. I bought a book called "Whitetail Deer Hunting and it really helped get me started. Remeber Gun safety is the FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT THING.
But ask the forum specific questions!
IE Where do I go to hunt Squirrels in my area?
What time are squirrels active
WHat type of weapon is suitable
ETC ETC
OR if you can find another more experienced hunter who is willing to help you, then learn all you can.Put out an add up in the local gun range or gun store. Listen, listen, and listen to you mentor. I started out this way a few years ago. Now I have a rookie under my wing. It feels great. Not that I am Jack O'Conner or anything. But I helped to safely introduce another hunter to the sport.
Go out into the woods in the off season and quietly obseve the wildlife for as long as you can stay still. Keep notes if you like.
And use the many hunting mags out there.

keep me posted. My email is not blocked if you want to talk more.
PS where are you going to be hunting?

My advice is to scroll like Shortee said, and read and pay attention to some of the topics, for one may be the answer to one of your many questions that I'm sure you have.
