IP lease Holders
They have announced that International Paper will be selling over six million acres of lands, most of it in the southeast. Depending on who buys it, this may be your last year the land you have will be available. I've heard a lot of rumors about the potential buyers and some of them will be good for the lease holders as they would probably lease the lands to the same lease holders. Pru-Timber, Mututal, Plum Creek and the other investment groups would be good. Rumor is they land will be busted up in about 17 mega packages of 350 or so thousand acres, although there is the possibility that one owner will get all of it.
