60 acres that i own, i just have few stand's set up and i will change from stand to stand every couple of day's

Main spot is a cluster of farms totaling 200+ acres.
other spots include
80 acre sheep farm
a decently large tract of public land that's close to home
a small suburban woodlot behind the house.

Some things are true whether you believe them or not.

1. 96 acres we own behind my house. Half wooded, half fields
2. 75 acre woodlot we own. Recently selectively cut.
3. 4,000 acre wooded track about 5 miles from me.

So far this year I only have two spots, but both are excellent.

1. 61 acres that back up to a river with 5 fields and plenty of hardwood treelines and a stream lined with hardwood. I have found buck sign, but have not seen a buck yet, I have seen a ton of doe though and where there are doe there are buck.

2. 12 acres which is a combination of thick pines and hardwood with a stream and a pond. There is a monster 6 point that is at least 5 years old, he would be an 8 point but he has no browtines, there is also another buck which was a nice basket 8 last year and should be a lot bigger this year.

Two, right now . . . The first is in New York's Northern Zone, and it's close to 1300 acres of woods, streams, and one pond. We used to be confined to 375 acres, that we owned, but the camp that was leasing the other 925 acres was found to be growing marijuana on the land. The new owner tossed them off, and we were right there.

The second . . . well, my wife's boss seems to like me. (Why, I haven't the slightest idea.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>) He's on 40 acres in New York's Southern Zone, on a farmer's land, and said farmer hates the deer that eat his corn, among other crops.

The newest, and third, will be a farmer's land in the Southern Zone of NY, who has asked my help in ridding his home farm of deer. He said that he doesn't care how many deer are shot--he just wants them off. They're eating at his wallet, so he wants them gone . . . !

Somewhere between 50,000 and 100,000 acres of Weyerhauser land plus 1200 acres of our own.

In Ontario, we probably have about 200 million acres of public land to pick from. I plan to bowhunt in a block of about 4,000 acres near Ottawa, and gun hunt about 1,800 acres in a block of about 750,000 in the central deer range.
