food plots

I want to put in a few food plots this year buthave never done it before. what's a good mix to plant this time of year so that it'll be ready for middle to late season. or is therea mix that would get some ready early and then have different things mature thru the season. I've got access to any equipment needed but I would rather disk it under if possible. The only planters available are a huge set of8 row- way to bigfor whatI want to do.I'm in south west Georgia. Thanks for any advice.

RE: food plots

Check out some of the food plot web sites.
They will have all the information you need for your area.

Like http://www.themanagementadvantage.com

Is one - I know there are more.

But thats where I would start.

Theres also a lot of food plot web sites in HNI you could check out.

Good Luck

RE: food plots

Really gets confusing. I spent 100.00 just on seed for my back yard . And it was suppose to be the kind of blend that grows from year to year. It came up fine.I watered it ,fertilized it and had the proper PH. It is all gone. What the turkeys did not destroy just died. And never seen one deer eating it.
