Rivers Edge Folding Climber Stand

I just bought my first climbing stand by Rivers Edge. I have always made my own in the past, but due to my age and time I decided to buy one this year. Has any one ever used the Gator Folding Climbing stand by Rivers Edge? If so how did or do you like it?

RE: Rivers Edge Folding Climber Stand

Is that the one that has a rust-colored finish and a screen platform? I used to have that very stand and retired it for a Summit Viper this offseason. Let me say this, they are a very easy-climbing and rock-solid platform once you get them airborn. The tree attachment device isn't really that bad in comparison to some others, but they are so darned heavy and that's why I got a different one. If you have a way of getting the stand in and out of the woods prior to a hunt, that's probably the best way and you'll be happy with it. However, I found it a nuisance to backpack it into a remote area at 5 in the morning in December and set it up in the dark just before the hunt. Not the quietest climber either, but very safe and stable.
