Default RE: Deer size question?

I hunt all of my deer in alberta and saskatchewan and have taken several that weight in excess of 300lbs on the hoof.My father took one that was in the 380lb range.I have never taken these measurements myself but a friend claims this measurement runs around 18" to 19" for deer in the 300 lb range.

Default RE: Deer size question?

The buck that i shot last year was arounf 190 field dressed and maybe weighed 215 on the hoof. I would say about 20-22 inches for a buck this size and probably closer to 22 or larger in Canada. I got my buck in North Dakota and the deer here get to be good size with all the crops and food.

Why work when you can hunt???? Heck why work at all!!
