Wimps![>:] Your supposed to use what nature provides, like sunflowers or squirrels.:)

Toilet paper???

You're supposed to use your socks or whatever you can find in the timber like tall grass, corn cobs etc.

As for the gear, I would never go without a 10 - 12' length of rope to drag the deer out.

I'd have to say my brain , although I've been disappointed with it's performance the last few times out ... ;)

Rounds for my weapon......(I guess that's not gear huh?)....In that case it would probably be my cell phone for safety reasons....

If you were just taking your weapon, a knife, and one other piece of gear to the woods what would that be? For me I think it would be 50ft of 550 cord. its almost as versatile as Duct Tape.
This is a great topic and has really made me take stock of what I regularly carry in my pack. I agree with the toilet paper, but I would have to say an extra knife. I am fanatical about my cutlery. I have a habit of telling myself when I am packing up for a hunt, that as long as I have my gun, ammo, and a knife, everything else is pretty much "fluff".
