Jackie Bushman What Do You Think Of Him ?

What is your opinion of Jackie Bushman?

I seen him at the BuckMasters Expo and he was walking around.
And people were following him around like
Hungery dogs after a pork chop getting hia autograph.
And he was eating it up like the Top Dog.
Buuuuuuuut he didn't have or take time to say a word to any one.
Kinda like you weren't good enaugh for his time.
I might have just caught him at a bad time.

So what do you think of Jackie Bushman.

I think Bushman is a dumb a$$ and I think he currently has the worst hunting show of all time on the air. I never got the impression that he was actually a good hunter but rather a host. But I wouldn't ever ask for another human's autograph because IMO that's a form of idol worship much less JB's. I would shoot the breeze with Mike Waddell, or the Primos guys, or Jay Gregory etc. but I don't want any of their autographs and never really understood why anyone else would either.

He might be a dumb a$$ in the hunting field, but he knows how to make millions
of dollars. Oh God make me a dumb a$$ like him!

I am not a big fan of his. His hunts are just "too easy" for me. The deer always seem to be where he is.....HHHHMMMM that is a little toofishy to me!!!

As evidenced by my post, I am NOT impressed with his new show. BUT I wouldn't personally attack his character, call him a dumbass or accuse him of hunting "in pens". (I have hunted The Encinitos twice and there isn't a fence on it, one neighbor has a fence but it is only border and not even enclosed. The deer walk right around it!) I suspect alot of the criticism toward Bushman is simple jealousy. He has been in it long enough that he has made the money, is an industry figurehead and said lastnight on his show that they hunt basically EVERYDAY from late August until January. Show me a "hunter" who wouldn't like that lifestyle??? ;)

I agree that someone like Bushman can get testy from time too time while making public appearances. 10-20 years ago I'm sure it was still new and fun too him, now after decades of the same faces, the same places and the same travel schedule he is probably burned out. A man who eats chocolate cake everyday is gonna get sick of it sooner or later!

Don't discredit the mans hunting ability either, he never said he was THE greatest. He is exactly like his mentor Ray Scott. He is a salesman and promo-man first, ability isn't even on the radar. Sell the sizzle not the steak!

I wish they would cancel his show on Sunday night and put some decent programming in it's place. The two times that I turned to it in the last couple of weeks, they had segments that reminded me of the Price Is Right, and I hate that show.
