new deer season
 

I was just wondering if I was the only hunter out there that is already getting excited and dreaming about deer. I am excited beyond belief. I plan to hunt bow, muzzle loader and gun this year. just wondering if i am nuts or is it normal to get this excited this early

I'd be more concerned if you weren't . Personally , it's about all I think of throughout the year .

Well at My age deer hunting is much better then sex ...sure LAST longer ;>))

I think about it nonstop all year long... it's not unusual.. it's a way of life...
I am having trouble sleeping already.

yeah same here. as soon as turkey season ends i change gears and then deer hunting is all i think about. unfortunately we still have to wait another month [&:]

It's actually a thing that my wife laughs about--my obsession with all things "deer." I'm "leanin' forward in the saddle," too!

It is on my mind 12 months out of the year!!! My wife thinks I am crazy. She is very supportive of my hunting, and I think she gets a real kick out of me being so excited about bowhunting. She tells me, "I wish you were this excited to do things around the house....". Hey.......a man has to have priorities!!!! Anyway, I am always on the lookout for deer. Even this time of year (here is SW Ohio it is near 100 degrees), it is AWESOME to see the deer and the bucks growing their horns.

Here is SouthWest Ohio is very hot as dough boy said! I dont scout one bit, i know where there gonna be at every year. However, i am already stocked up on the last year hunts of Primos, knight&Hale, and the Drury boys. I watch them religeously. I cant wait!!! Every night i am fine tuning something, taping something, packing, sharpening, shooting, practicing, calling, cleaning,scent proofing. so much to do and so little time before opening day!!
