The Old Days
I was just thinkin today how much technology has advanced in hunting and stuff. I do use stuff like that, but I am not sure it is a good thing. I remember my Dad talkin about there bein a few deer around and when you went hunting, it was in a heavy shirt and bluejeans. You did not kill as many deer, but there was not so much of an obsession with "big bucks". I am proud to be a doe hunter, and if that buck comes by you bet I will shoot it, but I am not gonna get obsessed with it. Killin a doe back then was the talk of the county, you kill a doe now, people question you why you aren't more patient. What do you all think?

Xenia, a flannel shirt, jeans and a cap. No camo or all the fancy stuff.
The frezzer was always full of deer and hog meat. A 30-30 or
a shotgun with slugs all at close range, while stalking or still hunting.
No tree stands or ground blinds. I'm 65, how old are you?

RE: The Old Days
the only i have killed deer, is when i was in jeans, button up shirt and a old hat. If i have camo on i can spot them, but there new in range, or have a clear shot. I hunt box stands/ box blinds 50-55% of the time so it realy doesnt matter what i wear.

What I mean rybo, is in this part of the country, deer were a rare sight. If you shot one, you were a God around here. Of course that was along time ago, but it was still the way it was.
