What the he// is going on here...???
I haven't been around alot lately due to work and being active on several other forums as well. Now I find some time to cruise through and catch up on some posts and I keep finding the same thing....members going at each other ( eg: read the PB bullets post in B. Powder,or the" Lets see a pic" in Bowhunting) with a vengence[:@][:@]."Mine is better than yours" or "you don't know what your talking about".....usually without ever answering the original posted question ! .....Used to be you could give your opinion on something without starting a war! Just my 2 cents.......

Opinions are like a$$holes. Everybody's got one, and in general they all stink! I think the concept of an individuals opinion is fantastic on the boards although I could do without the vengance, name calling and belittling. I see your point and understand what you are saying but like disagreement as part of a discussion forum. I have my point and you have yours. I enjoy the concept of you selling me your point of view!

I think the internet gives people a feeling of anomalty and safety to say things they generally wouldn't do face to face. So I try to make the rule, never say anything on here I wouldn't say face to face. And add the fact that hunters and shooters are overly opinionated people. For instance the PR Bullets post in Blackpowder. All I did was give my experence with them. I have that right. Don't you think? So another poster felt compelled to take up for the bullet for some reason. Maybe he likes them really well, or even works for them. Who knows. I shouldn't have, but explained to the poster, that I have slugged my ML with lead sinkers to make sure and he is not right in this case. But that was not good enough.
I for one am going to try to not go at posters anymore. It really is a waste of my time and other posters even reading it. Never accomplishs anything, doesn't put food on my table or money in my pocket. And as I have learned, can get you into trouble by going the extra step to meet the person. Somebody asks a question I have experience with, I will answer, and if the critics come out, let them waste thier time.

I understand your point XTP and that’s why I try not to get involved. I’ll read the comments and leave it as that. I appreciate when people give good information from personal experience but when it starts with name calling that’s when I draw the line. I’ve said it only once on this forum that I will not fuel the fire.
