RE: What is the lifespan of a whitetail

I read about an old doe in the Deer and Deer Hunting magazine, in Michigan, that was over 19 when she was killed.

RE: What is the lifespan of a whitetail

I believe that it is 12-15 years. I have also been told that tagged deer have been seen around for 20+ years.

The length of a deers life degends on a few factors. Geographic location, food resources, deer population verses land mass, the number of hunters, health factor and QDM to name a few.

I read in the buckmasters mag today about a penned raised deer that lived to the age of 24 and she had 38 fawns while she was alive
