Got my first deer ever!
 

Just a quick thanks to Walt and others from the WKP team. I learned a lot from Walt this year and ALL the hours spent in the woods finally paid off. I shot my first deer ever on Dec. 30, 2009. It was just before dark and I was getting ready to call it a night when I heard something walking behind me. I turned to see two deer about 40 yards from me walking my way. They got to about 20 yards when one of them presented a shot. I shot it with my muzzleloader and it dropped right there. I walked over to it and thought I had shot a small doe, it ended up being a button buck. What an amazing experience! Next year it will hopfully be a bigger deer and with my bow!

congrats bud ,hopefully next year you'll have a chance at a bigger deer .With all the info you got this year will only make you a better hunter .
