My Target Buck Is Dead!!!!
But , Not by me!!!!!
I found out that one of the target bucks I was after this year is dead. I shared the pictures of him with you all this past summer when I got a little velvet footage of him towards dark..
The last time I was down to my lease, my hunting partner Jim had told me that there was a picture of a BIG 8 point that came from the area, but he wasn't sure if it was him or not. I heard it was killed across the road from our lease. I made a trip to the bowshop in Rushville to find out it was indeed the buck I was after. I knew it was him the second I saw the picture. My heart sank.
Bummer!!!! I just can't win.
Oh well, I'm not giving up! I have a little bit of time for a LUCKY late season buck. Yeah right!!!!
Here's the pictures of him in velvet again, and then the tribute picture of the buck in a picture after it was killed.
Hopefully he spread his genetics around. He was killed Nov. 2nd. The day before I was to leave for down there for my hunt.
He definetly had some screamin G-2s!!!!!
Give me your guesses on what it scored! If I already told you, then you can't say anything!

The buck scored 165"
Exactly what I thought it would score when I video taped him in the summertime.
Congrats to the hunter, but I am a little bummed. Oh well!
Here's the other big 8 point that is one of my new target bucks.
I had him at 40 yards but didn't shoot, because he was in the thick stuff. I didn't want to take a chance and wound him.
You all might think I'm crazy, but I saw him in person, and I scored him up at right around 170"
A booner 8!!!!
His body is HUGE, and I mean HUge, and he has a BIG blocky head on him. JUst a monster.
What do you think he will score?
