Well guys I am heading back to Illinois for 5 days wish me luck. I talked to our land owner and she said her husband only got to hunt Friday saw a couple good bucks chasing does but then had to go to work Saturday and Sunday so not much presure. I am hoping to catch some of the rut and maybe our big boys made it if they stayed off the nieghbors property.. Walt

Well guys call me the so close kid this year no more calling me the closer. I came real close on 2 great bucks 140/150 class but just couldn't get it down.. But man I can't even be mad this year it had been 7 years in a row shooting book bucks. My daughter shot her first buck with a bow down there with us and Steve getting his first good buck on film and then the big boys that we filmed and I had close was just and awesome year and a successful year for me.
PS. anybody got a good tag soup reciepe????
