winter food plots
 

ive planted a few winter food plots with turnips . has any body had any good luck or bad luck with them . they are the first winter plots ive done so any advice would be great or does anybody have any advice for a better plot:party0005:

I planted turnips and rape this year. We will see. Hoping keeps them around so I dont have to go so far to find their sheds this year!!:)

read up on the cereal grains section of the link under this. It is easy and not going to break your bank.
I see some guys who's deer take a year or two to start eating turnips an other root winter forage, but others go nuts the first winter. Most all have to get a goo hard freeze for the sugars to start to sweeten first.
