Cam for Videoing

Hi all,

I am looking to start filming hunts this fall and have done some research online but thought I would get your input or advice as well. I know that the Sony PD170's and GL1/GL2's are generally recommended but need to look for something else due to pricing.

I have been looking at a Canon Vixia HV30, I don't believe the low-light will be as good as the previous mentioned cameras but I have heard that the CMOS filter provides very vivid color and sharpness.

If anyone has any experience with the camera or 1 like it I would appreciate the input. Or if anyone knows someone that is getting rid of a PD170 or GL1/GL2 I might be in the market for a quality used item.

Another question is about accessories. Are there some that are a must?

Thanks all!

Nows the time to find one!! Check ebay, craigslist, etc.. You should be able to find one for a good price around here somewhere!! Someone may respond to let you know if they know of someone who has one for sale.
